Service Projects

Little Angels Supply Drive
From February 28th-March 3rd, Key Club will be holding a supply drive for the Little Angels foundation, a home for children and adults with severe disabilities and medical conditions. In order to donate as much as possible, we want different classes to donate different things on different days. There will be collection boxes in the main commons. The schedule is:
Tuesday-Wednesday:
Freshmen: Toothpaste/toothbrushes
Sophomores: Nail polish
Juniors: Post-its
Seniors: Black sharpies
Thursday-Friday:
Freshmen: Black and blue pens
Sophomores: Cotton balls
Juniors: Paint brushes
Seniors: Party balloons
Supplies should be new. Questions? Call Morgan or Sarah at (630) 440-2479 and (630) 205-0019

Jared Boxes
The Jared Box Project is named after a little boy who lost his fight with cancer. A Jared Box is simply a box filled with toys that is given to a child in the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. How to make a Jared Box:
1. Get a shoebox-size plastic storage box.
2. Choose a gender and age group that the box will be for (male/female ages 0-2, 2-4, 4-8, 8-11, 11-14, 14+). Print out the label and attach it to the box.
3. Fill the box with toys appropriate to the gender and age group you’ve picked. They don’t have to be expensive, a dollar store is a good place to find things. For suggestions, go to http://www.thejaredbox.com/makeAJaredBox.html
4. Decorate the box: make a card or draw a picture and put it in the box.
5. Bring the box to our next meeting or drop it off in the Key Club office.
