Dear St. Charles Walk Volunteers,

Thank you so much for volunteering for the 2009 Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes – St. Charles Walk at Pottawatomie Park . Every hour that you spent helping us the morning of the walk was appreciated and the event would not have run as smoothly if it wasn’t for your generous support. We hope that you had a great time and that you will consider volunteering or walking in 2010. If you could respond to this email with your mailing address we’ll make sure to keep you updated on the upcoming activities of the American Diabetes Association! Also, if you would like to get more involved with our Step Out event, please consider joining the planning committee for the 2010 St. Charles walk. Key Club Pledge: I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International, to build my home, school, and community, to serve my nation and God and to combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

Service Projects:

Living Well:

Please bring in baked goods to our next meeting to be donated to Living Well. Each baked good will be worth one service hour.

Giving Tree Tags:

Help assemble giving tree tags afterschool on October 20^th, 2009 in room B200D. Questions? Call Carlie at (630) 957-8957.

Salvation Army:

Come afterschool Monday-Thursday from 3-4 and help tutor elementary students or stock the food pantry. Questions? Call Holly at (630) 584-2269.

Brighton Gardens:

Come visit with the residents everyday Monday- Thursday during social hour from 2:30-3:10. Questions? Call Colin at (630) 584-1617.

Northern Illinois Food Bank:

October 20^th, November 3^rd, November 12^th, and November 17^th from 6-9 pm. Questions? Call Katie at (630) 377-5137.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

Boxes are available to trick-or-treat for UNICEF. Any money collected can be brought to the November 10^th meeting. Questions? Call Carlie at (630) 957-8957.

Homecoming Golf Cart

Key Club is signed up to decorate a golf-cart for the homecoming parade. Decorating will take place Thursday, October 15^th. Questions? Call Dakota at (630) 398-2185.

Reminders:

*Each due paying member needs to have 10 recorded service hours by the end of the year.

*Please show up for any service projects you sign up to do. If you cannot attend, please call an officer.

*Pick up hours forms at the meetings or at the Key Club bulletin board located by Mrs. Hervey’s office.

*Please bring $20 for dues to the next meeting on November 10^th. Dues will be collected until our January meeting.
