Business

Key Club Information for New Members:
Introduction of officers, roles
Dues $20, submitted at club meetings
Service organization with minimum of 5 hours service per month, recommended

Key Club Pledge:
I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International, to build my home, school, and community, and to combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

Code of Conduct:
-Mrs. Hervey reviewed code of conduct expectation, signatures.

Service Projects

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF:
Boxes are available to trick-or-treat for UNICEF. Any money collected can be brought to the November 10th meeting. Questions? Call Colin @ (630) 584-1617

Salvation Army Tutoring:
Come afterschool Monday-Friday from 2:45-6 and help tutor elementary students or stock the food pantry. Questions? Call Sarah @ (630) 205-0019

Salvation Army for Lazarus House:
Wednesday, Nov. 24th Lazarus House needs volunteers to set up for a Thanksgiving meal the next day from 1-3 pm.
Thursday Nov. 25th Lazarus House needs volunteers to serve lunch and watch/ play with the kids there from 11:30 to 2pm. They also need people to help clean up from 2-3 pm on the same day. Questions? Call Sneha @ (630) 857-8466

Lazarus House:
This Wednesday, October 13th, come after school to help make sack lunches for Lazarus House.

October 29th and 30th Lazarus House needs help mailing and stuffing envelopes with newsletters of their community resource center. Shifts are from 9:00 am – noon and noon – 3:00 pm. We only need 12 people for each shift so spots are limited. Questions? Call Sneha @ (630) 857-8466

Bell Graham Fall Festival:
Bell-Graham Elementary school is having a Fall Festival and needs as many volunteers as possible. Volunteers will help with games and activities and are needed for as little as thirty minutes. The date is October 22nd, and it starts at 6 pm and runs until 11 pm. Call Colin @ (630) 584-1617 for more info

Northern Illinois Food Bank:
The Northern Illinois Food Bank needs volunteers to help sort and pack foods on these dates:
Thursday, October 14, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Tuesday, November 2, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Tuesday, November 16, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Living Well Cancer Center:
Please bring in baked goods to our next meeting to be donated to Living Well. Each baked good item is worth one service hour. On Tuesday and Wednesday nights students can also help out at the center. Questions? Call Kaitlin @ (630) 999-1123

Brighton Gardens:
Come visit with the residents everyday during social hour from 2:30-3:10. Questions? Call Colin at (630) 584-1617.

Delnor-Glen:
Come call bingo on Sundays from 2-3 pm, volunteers must be at least 16 to do this. Volunteers are also needed to play music in the lobbies on Saturdays and Sundays (No age limit required) Questions? Call Morgan @ (630) 440-2479

Primrose Farms Hayrides:
5N726 Crane Rd, St. Charles
Help set up for Primrose Farms Hayrides. All dates are from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm for set-up. October 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24.

Crop Walk:
A 5k walk for the hungry in Africa on October 17th, that starts at Batavia Methodist church at 1:15. Registration and donations can be done online or at the walk. For more information call Morgan @ (630) 440-2479

Bulletin Board Redecoration:
2 or 3 creative Key Club members are needed to redecorate the Key Club bulletin board. 1 hour of service credit will be provided. Time is flexible (not during class.) See Mrs. Hervey to sign up.

*NEW* Service Project Ideas, Managers
Do you have an idea for a service project for our club? If you know of a service project idea through your participation with a church or youth group, another club or sport, the park district, or some other agency and would like to see if other Key Club members could help, then we want to know! You can earn service hours as a project manager and can help expand our club involvement in the community. Simply bring your ideas and a contact name and number to any officer to get your project started.
